The introduction of ductless heat pumps into the
marketplace has been a livesaver for most people
with houses built in the 1990's, when electic
baseboard heating was the contractor's heating
method of choice.

You no longer need ductwork to have all of the
comfort and savings of a heat pump! Ductless heat
pumps work the same as regular, ducted heat pumps.
They are just as efficient and sometimes even more
quiet!

The outdoor unit sits outside and works the same as a
standard outdoor unit (collects heat out of the outdoor
air and moves it to the indoor coil). The only
difference is that rather than the heat being moved
inside to the furnace to be blown through the
ductwork, the heat is moved to an indoor unit that
hangs high on the wall and distributes warm or cool
air up to 1600 sqft. If that is not enough to cover your
home, you can get a ductless heat pump with two
indoor units that covers up to 3000 sqft!
